06. Dealing with changes in your creative life

The Create From The Source podcast is back!

What do you do when the timeline you’ve planned for a creative project or for your creative career looks great in your mind (and on paper), but isn’t aligned with everything that’s going on in the whole big picture of your life?

How do you respond to big changes in your creative work & life and to the liminal space that’s created when you find yourself in between projects, in between life phases?

Can you embrace change even if it requires a (temporary) loss of something you’ve built and worked on for years, without seeing that as a sign of failure?

The Create From The Source podcast is back!

In this episode, you’ll hear Katja’s personal story and insights gained during the break, and learn how to deal with changes and proceed with your creative projects in situations when you notice that the timeline you have planned in your mind isn’t actually the timeline that’s needed.

You’ll also learn how your creativity can be your guiding light in times of change and during challenging times in your life, and hear what’s in store for this new podcast season!

Takeaways from this episode:

  1. Sometimes you need to change the original timeline that you had planned for your creative project, or life provides you with situations that causes you to pause and slow down. Try to see this as an invitation to gain more insight and clarity, and trust that there is a divine timeline for everything.

  2. The key to get your creative work flowing and create the changes that you want to see happen in your creative life is in your willingness to move through “icky liminal spaces” and to lean towards the unknown.

  3. Your creativity doesn’t always need to lead to some end product or performance, it can also be your mindfulness practice and your way of communicating with your own Source.

What’s in store for the podcast in this new season:

In this period of my long break, I have actually been doing work behind the scenes for this podcast!

I've had conversations with super inspiring artists and specialists who work in fields that support artists, and I'm so excited about releasing these conversations as podcast episodes with special guests. I've got some really wonderful episodes lined up for you with these guests, and I'm so excited about introducing all these wonderful people to you. The guest episodes will be alternated with solo episodes in which we will dive into creativity coaching.

I am so sure you will find a lot of value in the guest conversations and the creativity coaching solo episodes, and that you’ll find a lot of inspiration, motivation, and insight. So I hope you'll be tuning in to this podcast many, many times as we move into this new season!
